BLM is Burning Piles on Case Mountain

Smoke May Settle into Three Rivers Overnight

Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks have been informed by their colleagues at the Bureau of Land Management that BLM will begin burning piles on Case Mountain.  They plan to begin today (Wednesday, 29 Nov. 2023) , and as conditions allow, continue for about a week.

Smoke will be visible from areas in Ash Mountain, and likely from areas up in Giant Forest.  Smoke will also be visible from most locations in Three Rivers.

Smoke impacts will be negligible; however, some smoke settling overnight can be expected.
