Update, Closures, and Contacts
In brief:
Communities on the North Fork, South Fork, and East Fork (Mineral King) watersheds remain or are once again stranded this morning. The South Fork and Mineral King communities were provisioned yesterday via helicopter.
As of this morning, it was possible to drive to Visalia, however, Highway 198 was restricted to one lane at Lemon Cove due to flooding. 216 to Woodlake is closed.
Known road & bridge damage in Three Rivers as of this morning:
- Kaweah River Drive – one lane due to mud slide
- Airport Bridge (North Fork)
- Bailey Bridge (North Fork)
- Conley Bridge (South Fork)
- Sequoia Oak Bridge (South Fork)
In addition, Mineral King Road is closed at Hammond Drive due to significant road damage.
There are multiple mud slides and washouts above Conley Bridge on North Fork with multiple stranded communities.
