Road Construction Updates

Mineral King

• Road construction continues with delays not exceeding 30 minutes. 
• Road paving is expected to take place across entire section of repair sites from 6/25 through 6/28
• Paving will require temporary day time closures
  • Closure area will be from the gate at the park boundary, but not beyond the Conifer Gate. The upper closure point will shift as paving progresses, the lower closure point will remain the same.
• Closure Schedule Tuesday, 6/25 through Friday 6/28
  • Closed from 7:30am to 11:30am
  • Open from 11:30am to 12:30pm
  • Closed from 12:30pm to 5pm
• The road will be open before and after each day
• Once paving is completed, the project is done!

Site 20 – Generals Highway

• Crews are working on a possible reopening of the second lane of traffic today, and removal of the traffic light. 
• Road paving is scheduled for Monday, 6/24.
• Once paving is completed, the project is done!

River Safety

Please help us urge visitors to stay out and away from the river if they plan to come up to the parks. As you know, this week we had another tragic river incident.
