Hero Appreciation Months Celebrations and Discounts
The annual Hero Appreciation Months for Three Rivers and and surrounding gateway communities have commenced! January through March will feature public events celebrating firefighter/EMS, law enforcement officials, and our armed forces. In addition, current or former Firefighters/EMS personnel, Law Enforcement/Peace officers, and members of the Armed Forces are invited to pick up a 2024 THANK YOU Heroes Card at Kaweah Coffee Roasters, Buckeye Tree Lodge, Lazy J Ranch Motel, or Western Holiday Lodge, and enjoy using it at numerous local businesses from Jan 1 – Mar 31, 2024. The following celebrations are free and open to all:
- Firefighters/EMS: Honoring Skylar Carney, EMT with American Ambulance; Jorge Nunez, Firefighter with Tulare County; Thomas Sakaguchi, Firefighter with CalFire; on Friday January 26, 7pm, Sequoia Cider Mill Restaurant.
- Law Enforcement: Honoring Deputy Derrick Hood, Tulare County Sheriff; on Friday February 23, 7pm, Sequoia Cider Mill Restaurant.
- Armed Forces: Honoring Austin Parker, who served in the U.S. Navy and is now a member of Team USA, bobsled, Paralympics 2024; in April, date TBA, on a Friday, at 7pm, Sequoia Cider Mill Restaurant.
