UPDATE: Due to the televised presidential debate happening at 6pm on Thursday, we’ve shifted our time up a bit for those that would like to do both. The meeting will now be at 4:30pm. Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks are hosting a public meeting to discuss the record visitation over Memorial Day weekend and impacts to the Three Rivers community. Park staff will be joined by Tulare County and Emergency Services representatives to best address concerns and work together
Beginning as early as January 17 through the middle of February, fire personnel at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks will be burning piles of cut wood and other vegetation in the Big Stump area of Grant Grove and the Lodgepole area of Giant Forest.
