Volunteer Opportunity September 28 Help Clean Up Lodgepole Campground National Public Lands Day (NPLD) is a huge volunteer effort that takes place every September. This year we will be helping with campground cleanup in Lodgepole Campground. Primarily, we will be repairing fire rings by shoveling ash, removing debris and trash, and rebuilding rings as needed.  The event will take place on September 28 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Lodgepole Campground in Sequoia National Park.  Sign-up is required.

The 99th Annual Trek to the Nation’s Christmas Tree event is taking place on December 8th at 2 p.m. at the historic Grant Tree in Grant Grove, Kings Canyon National Park. The official ceremony will begin at 2:30p.m. This cherished tradition celebrates the Nation’s Christmas Tree, the General Grant Tree, which holds a significant place in our nation’s history. December 8th is a free entrance day at Sequoia and Kings Canyon.  The General Grant Tree is fittingly called the Nation’s
