It’s time for Food, Fun and Fabulous Art celebrating October 5, 2024 from 11 to 5! Noelle Charles is our Featured Artist this month. She has been a freelance art director with her beginnings in scenic and mural painting.She will be at the Cort Gallery with other artists. With her love of creating a vibe, it makes perfect sense to invite other artists and make it a community showcase at the Cort Gallery. After visiting the studios and galleries in Three Rivers, stop by Cort Gallery, and sing along with Diana Glass.
Friends of the Three Rivers Library Book Sale – Art and Craft books and so much more at the Three Rivers Library! Take what you like, donate what you can.
Several studios will be open. My Handweaving by Nikki, up on the South Fork, is where I have 6 looms, each with a different project. I will offer new handwoven towels, shawls, Mug Rugs and other creations. Just down the road from me on the South Fork is the ever-popular River Water Pottery Studio & Gallery where Anne & HJ Brown make their beautiful handmade pottery. Be sure and ask to see HJ’s stunning photographs. They will amaze you! Here you will also find Jami Beck with delightful jewelry, gourds & Macramé items.
Visit Shirley Keller at Spirit Hill Meditation Garden & Art Studio to see her dot art and learn about her 2 published books. Shirley invites you to sit and relax in the Meditation Garden while you are there.
For a delightful time, visit Linda Dumont at her Fairy Godmother’s Enchanted Cottage with her chakras, wands, healing mandalas and sculptures. While you are there, be sure to enjoy Paintings and Garden Art by David Ramirez.
At the air conditioned Harrison Hall at the Presbyterian Church, we have artists who will delight you with their various talents. Bertha Garza offers her wonderful Dazzling Dreams Natural Skin Care Products and Nature photographer, Lace Montgomery conveying the beauty of the outdoors through her photos. Brenda Burke knits up a storm making wonderful handmade hats to suit anyone on your holiday shopping list and is also offering a great selection of yarn for sale for your own knitting
projects. Scott Reinhardt will offer his stunning photography of the natural world.
Ella Hays crochets THE most delightful creatures! Just holding and squeezing one will make you laugh with joy! If you are feeling artistic yourself, Kacey Fansett will provide a Free Make & Take Class creating one-of-a-kind Halloween-themed painted pumpkins just in time for the big day itself. Samples and all materials provided.
Nancy Brunson’s shop, Kaweah Arts, in its new location called “The Dome”, offers art of all kinds, much of which is made by the artists you can meet on 1st Saturday. Be sure to stop in and see this delightful building full of art of all kinds.
Three Rivers Historical Museum has a gift shop and books by local authors. Don’t miss their new Native Voices exhibit! PUBLIC RESTROOMS are also available at the Museum.
Try the newest place in town to eat: Tony’s Taverna on Wheels, serving fresh authentic Greek Food from their food truck in the parking lot of the Museum. Totem Market and Gifts (8 am to 8 pm) is where you can pick up BBQ & Beer and visit a Wine Tasting Bar. Last but certainly not least, a visit to Three Rivers is not complete without stopping at Reimer’s Candies and Gifts for some specially made candy and ice cream.
