It’s time for Food, Fun and Fabulous Art celebrating 1st Saturday in Three Rivers, November 4, 2023 from 11 to 5! Don’t you just love fall? The trees in Three Rivers are beautiful now. Meet out Featured Artist, EC Joe at the Three Rivers Historical Museum. EC is the author of a book entitled Rites of Passage: The Legacy of Adventure Climbing in the Sierra Nevada. The book is extensively about rock climbing throughout the Southern Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. Book Signing 11 am-4 pm; Readings at Noon and 2pm.

At the Presbyterian Church in Harrison Hall, you will have the opportunity to meet Judy Goodman, an excellent seamstress who now crochets to create boho bags, purses, yoga bags and more. Correy McGlyn will delight you as she creates personal, on the spot poems using a typewriter.  We have come to count on seeing Bertha Garza offering her wonderful Dazzling Dreams Natural Skin Care Products. Meet Aida Bartoletti who is passionate about all of the arts. She will help you make-and-take wooden pendants in a free class. Local author Christy Wood has published another book!  Her latest book is “Hoofprints Across Time: A Trail Ride to Remember”Christy will be at Harrison Hall signing copies of her book. Christy’s husband, Steve Wood will also be there with his own Horseshoe Art.

The multi-talented Christine Sell Porter will be at Kaweah Arts where you can enjoy her paintings and other interesting artistic offerings. While you are there, meet Nancy Brunson, owner of Kaweah Arts, where you will find the art of 50+artists. Nancy invites you to spend some time discovering what the artists have to offer. Since my weaving studio will not be open, you can find my handwoven towels and other items at Kaweah Arts.

For light-hearted whimsy, visit Linda Dumont’s Faery Godmother’s Enchanted Cottage for her chakras wands,healing mandalas and sculptures.The Cort Art Gallery has an exhibit by various artists.

Don’t miss the beautiful drive up the South Fork to the ever-popular River Water Pottery Studio & Gallery where Anne & HJ Brown make their beautiful handmade pottery. Here you will also find Jami Beck with jewelry, gourds & Macramé items.

At Kaweah Coffee Roasters they serve artisan coffee and other delicious beverages as well as wonderful breakfast and lunch options!  Right behind Kaweah Coffee Roasters is Royal Garden Nursery where Kayla Pace specializes in native plants, succulents, cacti, and seasonal produce. She is now featuring arts and crafts in the greenhouse area every Saturday from10 am-4 pm.  While there, you can enjoy the paintings and repurposed wood of David Ramirez. He makes small curiosities, garden art, and things like door knockers and small tables.

Totem Market and Gifts (8 am to 8 pm) is where you can pick up BBQ & Beer and visit a Wine Tasting Bar. Three Rivers Historical Museum has a gift shop and books by local authors.  Don’t miss their new Native Voices exhibit! PUBLIC RESTROOMS are also available at the Museum. You must try the newest place in town to eat: Tony’s Taverna on Wheels, serving fresh authentic Greek Food from their food truck in the parking lot of the Museum. Last but certainly not least, a visit to Three Rivers is not complete without stopping at Reimer’s Candies and Gifts for some specially made candy and ice cream.

EVERY 1st SATURDAY, the artists, restaurants and merchants of Three Rivers, California, open their doors and invite you to join in a town-wide celebration from 11 to 5 o’clock (unless otherwise stated on Blog and Map). You can pick up a map and schedule at Kaweah Arts and the Three Rivers Historical Museum – the map shows all participating venues, art to see, locations and times for special events.
