THE 1st SATURDAY in May falls on May 6th!

1st Saturday – Three Rivers
May 6, 2023

It’s time for Food, Fun and Fabulous Art celebrating 1stSaturday in Three Rivers, May 6, 2023 from 11 to 5! New and returning artists will help us celebrate this gorgeous spring! Our Featured Artist is Linda DuMont at Faery Godmother’s Enchanted Cottage. Plan to be delighted by her chakras wands, healing mandalas and whimsical sculptures.

We have other studios open in various parts of town. My Handweaving by Nikki, on South Fork, is where I have 6 looms, each with a different project. I will offer new handwoven towels, shawls, Mug Rugs and other creations. Visit Shirley Keller at Spirit Hill Meditation Garden & Art Studio to see her dot art and learn about her 2 published books. Shirley invites you to sit and relax in the Meditation Garden while you are there.

At the Presbyterian Church’s Harrison Hall will be Jordan Serota who does custom woodworking using locally-sourced as well as exotic woods. A new artist joining us this time is Sonja West, a seamstress who makes swimwear, tote bags, aprons, pajamas, etc. And as always, Bertha Garza offering her wonderful Dazzling Dreams Natural Products. PLUS… Ida “Aida” Bartoletti will be teaching everyone how to create one-of-a-kind custom wood-and-paint pendants. Her lessons are from 11:30 to 3:30 and are first come, first served and FREE.

Some of our businesses have joined us in the celebration. Nancy Brunson of Kaweah Arts, where you will find the art of 50+ artists, invites you to stop in and spend some time discovering what the artists have to offer. Three Rivers Historical Museum has a gift shop and books by local authors. PUBLIC RESTROOMS are also available at the Museum. Joining us for the first time at the museum (11 to 4) is Christy Wood, local artist with her newest book, “Hoofprints Across Time: A Trail Ride to Remember”. Totem Market and Gifts (7 am to 9 pm) is where you can see a living wall of plants and pick up BBQ & Beer and visit a Wine Tasting Bar. Have you been to Kaweah Coffee Roasters yet? They serve artisan coffee and other delicious beverages as well as their wonderful breakfast and lunch options, too! Also at Kaweah Coffee Roasters is Gregory Gray, a renowned Three Rivers photographer and media specialist offering services in portrait, real estate, drone, and commercial photography as well as videography.

Two new businesses will join us. One is Royal Gardens Nursery specializing in natives, succulents, cacti, and seasonal produce. Here, you will meet another new artist, David Ramirez, a painter who also makes small curiosities, garden art, door knockers and small tables. The other new location is Cort Gallery with the Super Bloom Art Show and Sale including their OPENING PARTY 4-9 pm with Live Music and Artist Meet & Greet. Last but certainly not least, a visit to Three Rivers is not complete without stopping at Reimer’s Candies and Gifts for some specially made candy and ice cream.

Maps with addresses and more information are available for you to pick up at Kaweah Arts and the Historical Museum. More information can be found on our website:
