Help Clean Up Lodgepole Campground
[From the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks Volunteer Office]
National Public Lands Day (NPLD) is a huge volunteer effort that takes place every September. This year we will be helping with campground cleanup in Lodgepole Campground. Primarily, we will be repairing fire rings by shoveling ash, removing debris and trash, and rebuilding rings as needed.
The event will take place on September 28 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Lodgepole Campground in Sequoia National Park. Sign-up is required. We can either sign up on Volunteer.gov, or send an email directly to SEKI_Volunteer@nps.gov. See the attached poster for details!
National Public Lands Day (NPLD) is the largest single-day volunteer effort for America’s public lands. Thousands of volunteers come together each year on the fourth Saturday of September to help restore, improve, and enjoy public lands around the country. Efforts are coordinated nationwide by the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF) in conjunction with public lands agencies.
