1st Saturday in Three Rivers!
September 2, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
Food * Fun* Fabulous Art
EVERY 1st SATURDAY, the artists, restaurants and merchants of Three Rivers, California, open their doors and invite you to join in a town-wide celebration from 11 to 5 o’clock (unless otherwise stated on Blog and Map). You can pick up a map and schedule at Kaweah Arts and the Three Rivers Historical Museum – the map shows all participating venues, art to see, locations and times for special events.
It’s time for Food, Fun and Fabulous Art celebrating 1st Saturday in Three Rivers, September 2, 2023 from 11 to 5! Yes, that’s me, Nikki Crain, you see as the Featured Artist this month. I will be in my studio on South Fork with 6 looms and my latest handwoven towels, Mug Rugs and other handwoven creations. Just down the road from me is the ever-popular River Water Pottery Studio & Gallery where Anne & HJ Brown make their beautiful hand made pottery. Visit Linda Dumont’s Faery Godmother’s Enchanted Cottage for her chakras, wands, healing mandalas and sculptures.
The multi-talented Christine Sell Porter will be at Kaweah Arts where you can enjoy her paintings and other interesting artistic offerings. While you are there, meet Nancy Brunson, owner of Kaweah Arts, where you will find the art of 50+ artists. Nancy invites you to spend some time discovering what the artists have to offer.
Several artists will be in Harrison Hall at the Presbyterian Church. Meet Bertha Garza offering her wonderful Dazzling Dreams Natural Skin Care Products; Kayla Pace from Royal Garden Nursery with her lovely natural plants; and Nature Photographer, Lace Montgomery conveying the beauty of the outdoors through her photos. PLUS…Kacey Fansett offering a free class in tie dye. Kacey supplies everything you need. Kacey’s lessons are first come, first served (limited space) and FREE.
Allen Casselman creator of enchanting wire wrapped jewelry, using rocks and crystals that he collects, will be at the Dome.
Some of our businesses have joined us in the celebration. Have you been to Kaweah Coffee Roasters yet? They serve artisan coffee and other delicious beverages as well as wonderful breakfast and lunch options! Here you can also meet Matt Arnett who works with wood and metal to make decorative metal trees. Totem Market and Gifts (8am to 8 pm) is where you can pick up BBQ & Beer and visit a Wine Tasting Bar.
Three Rivers Historical Museum has a gift shop and books by local authors. PUBLIC RESTROOMS are also available at the Museum. You should try the newest place in town to eat: Tony’s Taverna on Wheels, serving fresh authentic Greek Food from their food truck in the parking lot of the Museum. Last but certainly not least, a visit to Three Rivers is not complete without stopping at Reimer’s Candies and Gifts for some specially made candy and ice cream.
Maps with addresses and more information are available for you to pick up at Kaweah Arts and the Historical Museum. More information can be found on our website: www.1stSaturdayTR.com where you will shortly also be able to download a map. It’s Labor Day Weekend and you’ll want to start thinking about Christmas gifts.
